Pros

Lovely Residents as well as their families.

Cons

Administration. The females that run the building in Pella, Iowa turn their heads when ever a serious problem arises. Getting the CEO or anyone in corporate office to help is like pulling teeth!

Thank you for all you did to serve our residents and clients in the Pella community. We also appreciated you taking the time to review our team in Pella. Your feedback is being considered in our continual process to make our teams the best they can be while creating an engaging and rewarding culture. We know and acknowledge our people are our greatest asset and resource in transforming the aging experience. Our leadership team in addition Home Office team members have been heavily vested providing direction and support in Pella community as we expand our ministry in the community. In 2013, our team member retention rate was 90 percent and we had some of the highest team member engagement scores at Hearthstone in our organization. They were also above national benchmarks, which we think says good things are happening.

Pros

Good PTO benefits at the Director level: 30 days off a year. Good and affordable healthcare plan for you,

Cons

Pricey healthcare plans when it come to covering your spouse or child. High turnover. Low morale. Micromanaged and over-worked. Expected to work outside of business hours. Promised a wage increase in offer letter and leadership didn't follow through even considering a good performance. Just lover promised and underdelivered. Company cuts corners with product quality. Constantly updated and changed software creating a lot of wasted time and time just spent learning software instead of doing the thing that mattered...
