Fantastic benefits, positive work environment, and a progressive culture wrapped up in red tape - Applications Programmer/Analyst Wells Fargo Employee Review

Pros

Benefits are plentiful and generous, though they have declined since Wells fargo's acquisition of Wachovia. Still, WF offers some of the best benefits I've seen in a large corporation. Job opportunities are plentiful in this international company, especially in technology, where initial-hire salaries are very competitive.

Cons

In-house promotions result in small wage increases. To earn what you're worth after several years experience, you'll have to look elsewhere. Being the huge corporation that it is, the scope of most technology jobs is very small. Most developers, for instance, will spend all their time doing one thing and will have very little opportunity to explore new technologies.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
