Pros
Excellent company as far as resources; this ensured great benefits, training, etc. Learned a lot about the banking/credit industry from my time with the company. Comprehensive 401K plan that was highly recommended by co-workers, unfortunately my brief period (Less than 1 year) with the company didn't provide much experience with the plan. Employees were recognized/congratulated by management for meeting monthly/yearly sales goals.
Cons
Constantly on the phone! Information sharing amongst employees was scarce. Working for a company like Wells Fargo during the "credit crunch" one would assume that more education would be provided for employees, especially sales members considering that information/knowledge is vital to selling. I was also extremely disappointed with the compensation packages offered to employees. It often felt as though this was an environment of "what have you done for me lately" but then again that's the sales industry in a nutshell. Required sales targets were unreasonable considering the lack of compensation provided for meeting these quotas. Products provided customers with little to no finance stability/relief, just perpetuated a struggling economy.
