Pros
Benefits are good - Insurance is better than most firms, Profit Sharing is one of the best, Cutting Edge products and technology, Most people are smarter than the average Joe.
Cons
The company used to pride on it's culture but with industry pressure and some bad investment decisions, expensive hiring and unnecessary expenses, the culture has gone down hill. The morale is low and many people are looking to leave. The new CEO is to be blamed for a lot of this as the company also went through it's first round of layoffs ever. Promotions are impossible unless you are amongst the top 2% or a minority that will help their diversity numbers look good (yes, women & people of color/LGBT+ have a good chance). Managers have been asked to fake reviews to make a PIP list and be prepared for additional layoffs, even if the employee is meeting expectations. Trading and Investment teams are obviously more valuable. The Infrastructure group is run poorly as they have very smart people who are not treated unfairly. Some of them are the smartest in the firm but don't get promoted (or mentored) since management is biased. If you don't get promoted every 4-5 years, you are labeled as someone who will never be promoted again (time for you to leave)!
