Pros
Though management and office positions don't open up often because of slow turnover, when they do, employees are encouraged to apply for these positions even from other departments. If you are proactive, there are opportunities to grow your skills and take on more responsibility. The work environment is casual, comfortable, and friendly. People are asked to work hard but they are also encouraged to use their vacation time, not work during off-hours, and to balance work and life. Benefits are great including a year-end bonus and a generous employee discount which my growing yarn stash shows. The owners care a lot about their employees and give back to their local community. It's a pleasure to work for a growing company that makes smart business decisions and continues to look for ways to improve and stand out.
Cons
Collaboration and communication between departments could be stronger. During times of change, it's natural for things to be more stressful. But sometimes the focus is too much only on the logistics of the change. More attention could be paid to employee sentiment to help reduce conflict and deterioration of the company culture.
