Pros

Talented hard-working employees. Great culture, especially in the San Mateo, CA office. Lots of nice perks like catered breakfasts and lunches, tons of food, drinks, snacks, on-site gym, good work/life balance. Leadership is solid and a strong effort is made to have frequent, transparent communication. We merged with Bynder in February but IMHO things are going very well. Mergers/Acquisitions are never easy but I really feel that the planning process and progress being made in these first 6 months has been excellent. Employees are very involved in the process and able to give input. Our VC is providing excellent guidance and support, doing a great job of helping to keep us focused and on schedule to successfully merge into one company.

Cons

No real negatives. Due to the acquisition/merger, there is a lot to figure out and get done. There is also a LOT of opportunity ahead, so it will be important for employees to embrace the change and decide to be a part of this company's future success.

Pros

There's a few things that really stand out to me: 1. I don't have to fight for a better product. Everyone is focused on making the software work great. When I find a problem I don't need to fight anyone to get it fixed. I can just say that something isn't working right without creating a ten chapter novel on all the ways it's costing us. Everyone is getting stuff built and fixed. 2. Everyone is really welcoming and cool. Even the engineers are friendly. 3. It's a startup, but not a startup in all the good ways. Shutterstock makes sure that all the best benefits are there. Webdam is one of Shutterstock's valued business units, and makes sure there's enough money, people, and infrastructure so that the business thrives. At the same time, it's a small, tight knit office with all the startup perks.

Cons

There's a lot of new features and products (which is good), but there's some pain in bringing them all together under one core direction. Ultimately I think they'll all come together in a great product, but there's a lot of questions around what it all is right now.
