Pros
In my time here I've met some truly wonderful humans. Good opportunity for junior talent to get a lot of exposure quickly.
Cons
BE WARNED: On multiple occasions, it was encouraged to add or upvote positive Glassdoor reviews to offset the (many) negatives. There's a reason many positive reviews are so short. ---- For a company that claims to sell culture, WeWork's internal vibe is culturally anorexic at best and completely run on fear. I wish I could count the number of times a colleague cried on my shoulder for fear of getting canned. Executives view employees as "lucky" to be there which trickles down to an overall pattern of disrespect from the top - especially the C-suite. Comp is poor and untransparent, nepotism runs rampant through the (very narrow) halls, and fear of speaking up has formed pockets of rebellion. It has become a game to sit around common areas and swap WeWork horror stories like battle-hardened foot soldiers. It's the most cult-like environment I've seen outside of Jonestown. They list mandatory events as part of the benefits package and then punish those who don't want to take 4 days away from family. In my time at the company, I've never brought in a former colleague I cared for as I didn't want to be responsible for their experience if hired.
