Pros

I wish I could name one

Cons

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY: I came across several concerning reviews about this company while preparing for my interview, and unfortunately, those concerns proved to be accurate. I had two initial interviews, both of which were pleasant and gave the impression that I was moving forward in the process. However, things took a turn during the third interview. I was asked to commute an hour to their San Jose office for a 10 AM meeting with the CEO. I arrived ten minutes early, but the staff appeared surprised I was even there. As I waited, I couldn’t help but notice I was the only Latino in a room predominantly occupied by white and Asian employees. I felt the stares and judgment from several people around me — it was uncomfortable and isolating. By 10:10 AM, no one had greeted me. Eventually, an employee brought me into a meeting room, where a woman—who never introduced herself—came in to conduct the interview. From the start, she was dismissive. She cut off my responses, critiqued my résumé in a rude and unconstructive manner, and abruptly ended the interview without giving me a full opportunity to speak. She even made a false and insulting comment, claiming she could tell I “can’t hold a job long term,” despite my solid history working with tech companies and tax firms over several years. While I’ve had awkward or unstructured interviews before, I have never experienced anything like this. What was scheduled as a one-hour meeting was dismissed within ten minutes. As she walked me out, she casually mentioned I would have another interview with the CEO next week in San Francisco. Shortly after, the original recruiter who had interviewed me called to ask how it went. I explained everything, and she seemed genuinely surprised, saying she would follow up and get things sorted. I never heard back from her. Instead, I received an email stating that they would not be moving forward with my application. This experience was not just disappointing—it was degrading. Rejection is part of the job process, but the lack of respect, the personal judgments, and the subtle but clear cultural exclusion I experienced were shocking—especially in a place like the Bay Area. Think twice before pursuing any opportunity with WeBox. If you value professionalism, respect, and a welcoming work culture, this may not be the right environment for you.

Pros

Company is in a high-growth phase, you get to take real ownership of your projects. Also, you aren't just managing existing systems, you’re often the one building and refining them. Besides, contributions are clearly seen by leadership.

Cons

Because the company is evolving quickly, processes can change overnight. This requires a high level of adaptability and the ability to handle ambiguity as new financial workflows are established.

Pros

they give lunch credit, only $15 however.

Cons

10 hour work day with no overtime. Crazy employee turn around. during my year there I saw over 20 employees come and go. They break many labor laws and treat people poorly. All around toxic place to work. Most the office will speak exclusively mandarin and have poor english.
