Pros

The mission is a pro, and there are staff who genuinely care about the people they serve

Cons

It’s toxic at all levels. From the CEO on down. Turn over is high, communication is poor, and support is minimal. The CEO is heavily involved in day to day operations when focus should be on the financial situation and overall change. Wayside has lost 2 different HR teams (5 staff) in less than a year which is very concerning. It’s unorganized, behind in technology, and financially unstable

Pros

The new/current CEO is an amazing person, who cares a lot about the work and fostering an environment that prioritizes diversity and inclusion. While I didn't get along with everyone I worked with, for the most part I really enjoyed seeing my coworkers on a day to day basis. The therapists were especially wonderful, and brought a lot of passion to their work.

Cons

There was A LOT of diet talk/culture among the staff, especially the nursing staff while I was there, which was very upsetting considering that eating disorders and chemical dependency go hand in hand.

Pros

The work we do is important Coworkers are good

Cons

They don't give raises. At all. No cost of living increase in years, no merit raises at reviews. People leave and they don't hire replacements so everyone has to do way more work for no more money and no positive feedback. Public data shows that the CEO has gotten raises but the rest of the employees have not.
