Pros
• Getting exposure to a broad range of industries and companies • Solving problems and creating models and processes that will have a lasting impact on our clients; getting to work somewhat creatively within the scope of the project • When working on projects, the ability to focus on one thing without the typical distractions and "fire-drills" of a corporate office environment • Lots of Excel modeling! Getting to flex that skillset and learn new things from clients and colleagues • Management is very supportive of skillset development/ certifications (e.g. CFI courses, CPA exam prep courses) • Management is committed to team-building despite the team being spread across the U.S.
Cons
• Not necessarily a con, but the company is relatively young so for me I was a little apprehensive to join a start-up environment. However, I don't have any regrets! • For the most part, there is little opportunity/reason to interact with team-mates outside of team meetings/offsites, so it's harder to get to know your colleagues than in a typical work environment
