Pros

Work from home, work remote, come into the office - NO ONE notices if you come in late, leave early, or don't show up at all.... no one notices if you do anything... get drunk in the office if you're bored. Upper management NEVER works or comes into the office. Health, dental, and vision fully paid. 401K company contributions are 3% of your salary, regardless of what you contribute--3% is the max.

Cons

No leadership. Do NOT have your best interest and will take advantage you. In sales? NO work-life balance or commissions--bc they have no sales. Awful business practices and completely unethical. Management has no clue how to run a business. Changes direction every day without any thought... makes decisions on what they "think" will work. Products and services sold...a scam. Investors and upper management don't care about the business...want to make profitable so they can sell it and get their $$ back...greedy. Not sure how the business is still alive--LOOKING FOR A JOB OR SELF-PUBLISHING A BOOK? DON'T GO HERE. Upper management says there are opportunities for upward movement but beware. Title may change, but salary and day-to-day responsibilities will not. Does NOT pay well and NO raises. Awful culture--depressing and miserable environment. Extremely sexist. A woman? You'll NEVER be heard or respected. If you're contracted, you will NEVER get paid on time or get hired on full-time when they promised.... contractors are expected to work full-time but given NO benefits... FYI - by LAW, no matter if you're a contractor or not, if you work full-time (40hrs/week) then an employer is REQUIRED to give benefits. This is just a start. So many other cons... no real pros to this company--whether you're a customer or employee.

Pros

WaveCloud has renamed to BookFuel. They are rapidly becoming a leader in the self-publishing industry. It has been fun to see the company now achieve significant sales volume and improve its service delivery for authors. It is a fun place to work.

Cons

The company did morph a few times until it found itself mid-2015. That made it challenging for some employees to keep up or who were required to "pivot" with the changes.

Pros

work from home capability is nice

Cons

horrible sales management and policies. Mgmt does not care about employees. Will not give you accurate feedback. With less than 20 people employed, you can clearly see a lack in business model. No HR, no finance, no AP, jobs are done by people in different areas minimizing efficiency. Every rule, regulation, and policy changes at least once a month. I was #3 out of 8 people in overall sales and was let go due to "performance issues" after 4 sales in three days. Dont believe what this company says. Says the contracted position is 90 days only but if you dont speak up they will keep you as a contractor as long as possible to avoid taxes and not provide benefits. since this is a privately funded company yet to turn a profit, all mgmt cares about is impressing the investors. mgmt uses scare tactics to make you increase sales. does not give you positive support and will not commend you for a job well done. Some employees are immature and steal leads/constantly talk trash behind your back. If i were you, stop right now and find a REAL company. Leaving Bookfuel/Wavecloud was the best thing that happened to me. Do not work for this "company"
