Pros

Pros are PTO and 401K

Cons

This is hands down one of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for. The only thing they seem to care about is appearances while the actual workplace culture keeps getting worse. Management is completely out of touch and full of favoritism. The people getting promoted are usually the ones with connections or the ones willing to play politics, not the employees actually doing the work. Everybody knows it, everybody talks about it, and leadership does absolutely nothing about it. The environment is toxic from top to bottom. Micromanagement, gossip, bullying, and blame-shifting are part of everyday life there. Managers will talk about employees behind their backs, throw people under the bus to protect themselves, and avoid accountability at all costs. Good employees either quit or get burned out trying to survive the chaos. The hiring process is misleading too. They’ll promise training, support, growth opportunities, and a positive culture just to get you in the door. Once you start, you’re basically on your own with little direction and unrealistic expectations. What’s sad is this company used to have a decent reputation, but poor leadership ruined it. The culture has become incredibly unprofessional, and morale is terrible. I would not recommend this company to anybody looking for a healthy work environment or long-term career.

Pros

Decent pay. Average benefits. Work under the Cat name.

Cons

Management, naturally. This company is plagued with poor managers. If you have ever heard the saying, “you can take an animal out of the wild, but you can’t take the wild out of the animal,” you would understand how it works here. Lots of previous techs that brown nose their way into positions they shouldn’t be in. The other issue I had was that the experienced guys that don’t take the rapid response role end up catching most of the horrible jobs, while lower level techs get sent to the gravy jobs.
