- hackers' way of working: it doesn't matter what method you use, as long as you make things that work (don't need to go through a bunch of approvals to get something done)
- resources readily available: as long as you justify why you need something, you are likely to have it approved
- profitable startup: don't have to worry about not receiving paycheck
- for those that are pro-active and take initiatives, it's easy to move forward and gain more important responsibilities in the company
- CEO tries to be as transparent with employees as he can be
- CEO tries his best to improve conditions, benefits and perks for employees
Cons
- company focused on results, don't seem to care enough about how things are done or should be done (makes great short-term results, but not good for long-term vision)
