Pros
I had a very bright and decent manager who had integrity and who taught me much. Their benefits are competitive. Good relationship between back offices and branches. They have a number of very brilliant people there.
Cons
Here’s the one that matters to me. I was there for nearly a decade. I helped other depts as well as my coworkers and my direct mgr liked my work. I had 14 years of previous banking experience and several years of other related experience. I unfortunately became very ill with a serious incurable (though treatable) illness and went on medical leave and never came back. I was hospitalized, almost died. My now former direct mgr gave me a great deal of verbal advice and encouragement (which I appreciate) but at NO point did the department itself so much as send me a card. Sr dept mgmt never contacted me or expressed compassion in any way, shape or form, yet when I was there, I (and everyone else) heard from them *several* times a day, every day. This, after a decade of working there. We all contributed to collections of funds etc for various coworkers. I did not need money; my point is the rememberance and acknowledgement that is generally de rigeur in such milieus.
