Pros

Prices at the cafe are subsidised, Office Manager (Nicole) organises great events & Hybrid work structure.

Cons

-Low pay with no benefits (Medical Aid, Pension). -Increases and promotions are based on favouritism not capability. -Hiring is done externally first instead of promoting internally. -POCs do not have much of a place in management, generally hired at the lower levels if hired. -Constant restructuring leading to instability which then leads to a low retention rate. -No room for growth, you’ll be stuck in the same position for years. -Target incentives have changed and are no longer worth it especially if your base is low. -High workload, overtime expected without overtime pay. -Concerns raised about management never get addressed, but you do get targeted for raising the concerns.

Pros

There were no pros in my experience.

Cons

The company does not distinguish roles correctly, irrespective of your seniority and years of experience. Role specifics and expectations are not clear, due to consistent restructures that result in an unstable and hostile environment. Management’s style is to place employees on performance review to push them out of the company without legitimate cause or reason, and staff turnover is extremely high. Senior management are completely behind this. Employees leave long term careers to join this company, and find themselves either being demoted, or pushed out by management if they are disliked. Proper legal process is not followed. The company should face consequences of their actions and for literally toying with peoples lives.

Pros

*Flexible hours *Strong brand / good market reputation *Exposure to fast-paced environment and high-volume work *Clear business objectives and performance expectations * Access to tools/processes that support structured work delivery

Cons

*This is an extremely critical environment with limited opportunities for growth. *Frequent organisational restructuring, which can create uncertainty around roles and priorities * Feedback was frequently critical & reactive in nature, with limited constructive coaching or developmental support. *Pay levels may not fully reflect workload or performance expectations *Extremely young workforce leads to highly reactive situations *High employee turnover My experience in this role was largely negative due to consistent issues with leadership, stability, and development opportunities. I would not recommend this environment based on my experience.
