Pros
Excellent Work Experience Good benefits if you stay in long enough. Friendly and welcoming people at the Arlington Heights office.
Cons
The other recent Arlington Heights reviews hit the nail on the head for the most part. Work-life balance can become practically nonexistent during the long hauls of international travel, especially during the initial training phase. The vast majority of people at Arlington Heights are friendly and try to take care of their own, but the German upper management likes to micro manage. During their attempts to build an American automation team, it looks like their tactic is to hire a lot of people and then cull everybody except for the best. Morale in Germany among the Americans is extremely low and it looks like the team leads and upper management over there are a big factor. I have seen some of these people go over the individuals they do not like personally with a fine tooth and comb to find things to complain about so they can get rid of you. The pay is on the lower side of the scale compared to other competitors in the industry, but the benefits are excellent and it will be worth your while if you can stomach working there long enough.
