Free beer I guess good location

This company looks good from the outside but unfortunately behind closed doors it is a different matter. I was dismissed after refusing to sign a return to work letter after being put on furlough all whilst having health conditions that would put me at risk and uncomfortable returning to work with how no PPE for covid had been set up or given. All my requests fell on death ears from asking for waterproof jackets and essential PPE. These items should have already been provided. You will find there are too many back stabers within the company. The manager and some of his close colleagues are complete stuck up ignorant idiots for if you are not posh like them you don't get anything in return, it feels like they look down their nose at you. The manager himself is a coward and is a drunk who has been caught drink driving on a number of occasions. He is the worst manager I have ever worked for. Overall the company is awful in the way it operates and how they seem to care for their own but not your everyday normal person. I would advise you to stay away at all costs.

There is a knowledgeable team in place. Lots of freedom in my day to day, meaning I feel like I am making an actual impact. The office area is dog friendly, which makes the day to day a lot easier - most people have a dog in every now and again. Beer allowance is great, as the beer brewed here is really nice. There's an employee representative group that meets monthly, and includes a member of the senior management team. This is great as it gives on-the-ground staff a chance to give feedback and help to improve culture.

The Brewery is based in a quite rural location, which albeit is beautiful, it means I need to drive down a couple of single track roads in my commute.
