Pros
Very flexible schedule/hours and the agency is culturally diverse. The employees are friendly and caring of one another. There is a strong sense of togetherness
Cons
Increases in pay and salary are almost nonexistent. They provided a raise in salary for the overall position. The increase brought me up to $34000 just a couple hundred dollars more than what I was already receiving after over 5 yrs of employment, a promotion and couple of raises. I was now making the same amount as someone with less experience who just started yesterday. There's always issues with benefits due to there being one HR manager and there's always increases in employee contributions to benefits and increases in work responsibilities without increases in salary. They do not acknowledge some holidays such as Veterans Day and will have you working in a tornado if they believe that can make just one extra dollar off of you even if it means risking their employee's life. There bonus policy is a joke and there is no clear way to compute or track it. It seems they determine the amount of the bonus based on favoritism, how other programs are doing and how they're feeling about you
