Pros

I was WAVE's first ever photography intern during the summer of 2021. Before I started, part of me was nervous about becoming that intern you always see in the movies who's only job is to get coffee and lunch. However, I was very surprised and happy to find out that this would not be the case. Jenna, my supervisor, would have me doing work like finding inspiration images for upcoming shoots, assist on gathering products for our shoots, setting up our backdrops and lighting, and even let me take pictures for practice. Jenna would teach me about lighting settings and different techniques for getting more interesting shots. Sometimes should would even quiz me on stuff to make sure I was learning during my time there. The work environment at WAVE is the perfect combination of fun and serious. Everyone in the office seems to be friends with one another and help each other out when needed. Everyone I came in contact with during this internship was so nice and welcoming towards me and I am so happy I was able to have this opportunity. During my time interning at WAVE Collective, I was able to learn far more than I ever did in a classroom.

Cons

Since I only worked at WAVE Collective as a summer intern for 3 months, I do not have anything negative to say.

Pros

Great learning experience for people looking to build their resume. Some of the clients were fun to work with.

Cons

Upper management is insincere and dishonest. They don’t care about their employees and they think everyone is replaceable. They hire people with little experience to pay them the bare minimum while expecting the most.
