Pros

Great management. Lots of room to move up within the company. Development of talent is priority. Flexible schedule (when schools aren't in session). Employee-owned firm that puts employees first (for the most part). You are proud to represent the Anthology titles.

Cons

Heavy travel. Long hours. Low base pay compared to other textbook publishers (but sufficient bonus opportunity). The overall image of textbook publishers is very low, and it was difficult to represent such a hated industry everyday (that's not a slight to Norton, just textbook pubs in general). HR needs work, especially in regards to maternity/paternity leave and flexibility.
