Pros
Superb stepping stone to far better things. Some incredibly genuine and lovely editors. The slack channel can be hilarious at times when they're not berating you to turn the video around quicker.
Cons
Insane turn over rate of staff. Management is stiff and harsh. Video quality for 90% of their output is low quality due to account managers settling for such low budgets and short editing time, but still expect more. Then again, the account managers are given such ridiculous goals to reach that every dollar and every client could mean their neck, often resulting in cheap, quick videos. The rates they offer to editors doesn't attract quality either. $25 per hour for a specialised skill will only bring in the scraps, and it's no wonder people don't stay for long. To add onto this, this is a casual rate, not a full time rate, so they can avoid sick days and leave. They literally brought people in on editing trials, got them to edit actual work, never intending to hire them.
