Pros
- Some good employees - Access to newest tech - Good place to gain sales experience - General manager was really great. - Sales manager was great.
Cons
- The pay structure was impossible. If you're not in home theater/audio it's impossible to get more then minimum wage. - Massive favoritism. It's a cesspool of overconfident guys thinking they're untouchable. And they are. - Outdated sales strategies that you're forced to follow. Customers can see through the bait and switch. - I felt almost attacked by upper management at times for not making quotas. Even if we were extremely slow. 1 customer/day sort of slow. - The store itself needs an update. Very old looking, warehouse had mold. - Did not treat their staff like they were important. The idea that you were disposable was regularly held over your head if you complained. - They WILL NOT fire any sales staff. We had awful awful staff that they kept on because they were all friends . - Most salespeople at my location already had plans to leave the store when they found another job. - They bring ex-employees in instead of hiring new people with a fresh outlook and perspective. - Had to regularly work 12 hours shifts. Boxing day/ Black Friday I worked 17 hours nonstop. - Only female salesperson. There was a lot of harassment from the 'boys' Although my manager did try to make sure i was comfortable in the workplace.
