Pros
The company is growing, appears to be financially secure and has a good diversity of business units within the supply chain space. There are phenomenal people in all divisions both intellectually and interpersonally.
Cons
The CTO is, simply put, incompetent for the role he is in. As another review notes he is a good developer, but does not appear to have any of the skills needed for the role he was moved up to. Communication from the top down is awful and mocks the company name of "Visible" as there is hardly any transparency and visibility. There is absolutely no trust between all levels of the IT department and the CTO, and that lack of trust in the CTO appears to have bled into the business as well. False promises of timelines and capabilities are made on a whim both internally and externally, and then the developers are expected to deliver within those unreasonable timelines without being given any clear direction or business input. The term "leader" cannot even be used to describe the CTO as head of the department, as there is no semblance of geniune leadership present. If you're looking for work within the IT department LOOK ELSEWHERE until this mess is resolved by the executive team.
