Pros

- Industry (and company) has enormous growth potential. - Plenty of opportunities for new hires to improve the company's operations, infrastructure, & resources. - Plenty of openings for new hires to carve out a permanent role in the company hierarchy. - Management is understanding and accommodating. The owner genuinely wants employees to be happy and enjoy coming to work. - Management employs hand-off approach to managing employees, provided they know what they're doing and are capable of producing desired results on their own.

Cons

- Company culture is one of apathy and negativity. Bad apples are ruining the bunch which makes it a very toxic work environment. - Management is slow to make changes when they're desperately needed. - Employee feedback is valued, but rarely acted on. - Management does not have a clear roadmap. - Too much focus on the bottom line (have to spend money to make money). - Company growth is paralyzed by indecisiveness & penny pinching. - Constant uphill battle to get anything accomplished through normal channels. - Few opportunities for vertical advancement within the company hierarchy. - IT resources / infrastructure is in a horrible state. At least one system is down every day. - Company is disorganized and numerous people wear multiple hats that cause them to keep odd hours which can stifle the overall office's productivity when they have to wait for specific people to get back to the office to move forward on a project.
