Pros

Lots of opportunity to step up to the plate and expand your skill set. Expected to take on a variety of roles and so it's never dull working here. I find the work here very challenging - in a good way. Management and colleagues have been very helpful and they do mentor you despite the resource constraints. Flexible working hours means you get to manage your own time. Senior staff are very much in the know about the online video industry and you get some interesting knowledge sharing from them.

Cons

The often long (and erratic) hours means you can forget about work-life balance. The company is more suited to someone who is ambitious and is happy to put in long hours and either has an understanding family/friends or is a career-minded single. You'll need to be passionate about what you do at work. Otherwise, the pros mentioned above could get to you. Laziness, especially, is not tolerated (thank god!) and some staff had to be asked to leave as a result. Getting rid of these people has resulted in a more efficient work place - This is not necessarily a con.

Pros

Good location and some really good people but after years of hard work and personal sacrifice leaving here was the best career and mental health decision I have ever taken

Cons

Should have known from the get go this was a company in trouble. Left a job at a successful agency to work at this 'small, lean startup' that was going places - told on first day that they couldn't pay me 'on the books' for 6 months because they were officially bankrupt. Had continual problems with cash flow and had to be hounded by each leaving employee to pay Super or tax. They owed me 5 years of super when I left and never paid the interest. The management and culture only rewarded signing new jobs and didn't care about delivery or their clients. A couple of years after I left I heard there was a boardroom putsch that ended with one of the founders firing the other and a new CEO appointed. My next job - same job title - paid nearly double what Viocorp paid. You won't find any real, non-sockpuppet ex-employee that will give this place a good review
