Great place to stay poor - Agent Viewpoint Video Monitoring Employee Review

Pros

Free snacks and coffee TV in the break room If granted, you can choose your own hours Great work-ethic and guidance by supervisors and TL's

Cons

The company itself appears to have no direction. Too much of an agent's time is spent logging maintenance requests and answering calls from section 8 tenants than it is actively monitoring the quirky and outdated equipment on the properties they serve. Agents are paid barely above minimum wage to do 3 or more tasks at once, under high stress and scrutiny. The company pretends to compensate for this in bonus payouts, based on performance reviews, but this acts more of a reward system for the employees they want to retain. More often than not, their systems go down, a camera glitches, or, as in one case, the phones go down and employees are told to call in maintenance requests on their personal phones. The CEO Brad is uncomfortable around employees and presents no leadership qualities, and this toxicity carries down through the rest of the upper management. Employees are not trusted and are actively monitored around the building, and supervisors are given access to this in ways that allow them to humiliate other employees. Overall, this is not a company that is growing -- it is barely staying alive, and it shows.

Pros

I love working for this company. They offer extra training on professional development topics such as communication and being positive, and they also go into other topics like video analytics and handling crazy callers. Taking these courses can help you grow within the company quicker. They only promote from within, so it's exciting knowing whenever a position opens up, there's an opportunity for you. It's a big team environment and everyone works together to get the task completed. There's no set goals like "you have to take this many calls a month or this many patrols in a shift." Hard workers get recognized, and there are SO MANY ways to get bonuses. Just having perfect attendance earns you $50 a month. I'm on track to get $600 more this year just from the attendance bonuses, nevermind the others! They offer more than minimum wage, and if you work nights there's a $2 shift differential per hour.

Cons

They're going to need more computers and equipment soon, as the company is expanding pretty quickly.
