Pros
The CEO has worked in the association community for many years and does have a good PERSONAL reputation, but I've heard from MANY current and former clients that he doesn't seem to know what is actually happening with their search, e.g. staff knows more about the search than he does. I've also heard that contacts within client companies want to cancel their contracts for searches for performance issues but can't because the CEO has his nose up so far up the client's chief executive's butt it makes it virtually impossible to do. He tells the client exactly what they WANT to hear which if oftentimes not the truth.
Cons
The CEO is very manic and can blow up at staff when he has too many searches at the same time and is pulled in too many different directions. The CEO is nothing more than an order taker, which is not necessarily good in executive search.
