      Uncertainty about your role all the time. High risk of being laid off at that time which I believe is no longer an issue

      Great opportunities to learn new skills within the context of the department you are assigned to. Decent work-life balance: 3 on, 4 off, 4 on, 3 off.

      Cons

      Long hours – can be very physically demanding. Carcinogenic fumes everywhere, and fiberglass. Toxic coworkers if you're unlucky enough to have them on your crew. Shady leadership practices.
