Pros
I don't think there are any pros to working for this company.
Cons
HBIC needs an attitude adjustment. I gave her a chance despite reading all the bad reviews. Believe me, they are right!!!! She talked down to me about my previous employment and schooling during the interview!! I should have known then!!! Then for training, she "got distracted" and forgot to email me the training materials.. but that was my fault, "you could have called me to make sure you had the info you needed." Ummm no lady, as far as I knew, it wasn't my job to keep you on task!!!! She is the only person I dealt with the whole time, from application submission to actual work!! I know the company is small, but one person cannot do everything and keep everything straight!! She has to micromanage everything!!! During the 2-hour orientation over the phone, she made me and the other new transcriptionist repeat what she said like we were children! Not to mention her telling us both that our computer setups "ain't gonna work!!" She copied and pasted an entire report with PHI in it to me in a Skype messenger on accident. HIPAA violation!!!! I didn't say a word about it, but then right after that she had the nerve to chew me out for a very minor grammar mistake I made!!! Give me a break lady!!! She didn't give me any account specifics, but chewed me out over the phone for over an hour for the first few files that I did "wrong." I knew then it wasn't worth it. Like I said, don't waste your time on this one. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment.
