Pros

The pay you what they pay you

Cons

Tone-Deaf CEO If you are a “diversity hire” don’t work here Upper Level Management misses the beat Extremely questionable hires Ethics hotline is a dud Concerns shared to HR are dismissed even with validity and truth. Especially around COVID-19 So many changes to HR was there even HR? Senior Management *thinks* they communicate clearly, ask first floor people (straight up, not through a survey) if you do or not Annual raises are a joke (don’t be surprised to score high on reviews just to get 2%)

Thank you for your submission, and while I don’t want to diminish the various concerns you addressed in your “Cons” list, my reply will focus on the advice you’ve directed at me to do better. It seems you heard part of my message last summer during a Town Hall but that you may have missed some key themes that I was trying to communicate. I was unambiguous in our stance on diversity and racism and shared that given our core values, behaviors, and expectations, it is in our DNA to care for everyone and treat everyone with fairness and respect. 97% of all global employees participated in our 2021 employee engagement survey. 88% of them agree that we welcome people from a variety of different backgrounds and 82% agree that they are treated with fairness and respect. These insights suggest that we have room to help our employees feel more welcomed and be treated with more respect, and I am confident that as a company we are moving forward in creating more equitable experiences. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

The company has a strong, collaborative culture where people are genuinely invested in doing high-quality work and supporting each other. There's a lot of exposure to interesting, complex projects, and you're trusted to own your work and make an impact. For anyone who wants to grow professionally, there's real opportunity here. High performers are recognized, and you're given the space to step up and expand your scope.

Cons

Work can be complex and fast paced but a great environment for people who enjoy challenging problems and making meaningful changes.

Pros

They'll mail you a box of popcorn and nuts around Xmas, sometimes.

Cons

Compensation is well below industry average and the benefits are just as bad — healthcare especially is expensive for what little you actually get. There is zero upward mobility. When someone leaves and a role opens up, they will hire externally every single time instead of promoting the people already doing the work. They run intentionally understaffed under the excuse of staying "lean," which just means the people there are overworked with unrealistic deadlines and no relief in sight. Micromanagement is a serious problem throughout the organization. My manager was passive-aggressive and toxic. One-on-ones were essentially monologues — you couldn't get a word in while they rambled about what the team should and shouldn't be doing. When something goes wrong, senior leadership is quick to point fingers downward. There is a clear pattern of blame being shifted onto individual contributors and mid-level managers to protect those at the top.
