Pros
The job itself is simple. You sell mobile and internet services to customers. The benefits are good. You get a good 401K, Medical and Dental. So don’t worry about benefits they will take care of you. Usually your co workers mainly the other sales rep are pretty cool and easy to work with. Pay is okay. So the good thing is every year you’re there you will always get a raise. The commission is where it can make or break you at the job. Because you have a quota of total sales revenue which is mix of phones adds, internet adds, perks, insurance, accessories. Then you have your multiplier which is purely based off phone and internet adds. So in a month if the quota is really high you might not make as much. But typically hitting 100% of your sales goals is about an extra $1500-$1600. But you can definitely make more I’ve months where I made $2000-$3000 in commissions
Cons
So getting promoted can be difficult. You’re competing against every other rep in your district and possibly others in another district. As for every store there is two assistant mangers and one general manager. So it can take you as short as 2 years to get promoted or up to 3-4 years. Your managers will definitely micromanage you for lots of your transactions. Especially if the store itself is lacking in certain areas. Even if you’re the best rep in the district they will still put their input in your sales.
