Pros
Friendships with coworkers; flexibility to work from home
Cons
- The environment is toxic. Everyone is expected to work 24/7 without question for the promise of "becoming a millionaire" when the company is sold. However, growth has stopped because upper management has pushed out or fired the employees who were committed to the success of the company as a whole. Executive leadership has been replaced with individuals who care for nothing except power. Many personal friends have been hired and then unnecessary positions are created, or qualified employees are replaced by these personal friends. Decisions to fire or replace people are largely made without knowledge of their job or previous contributions to the company. - People who are successfully promoted use the following formula: Propose to change absolutely everything + use the latest technology buzzwords (think innovation and blockchain), then subtract any knowledge of existing processes and/or results. - Jobs are being outsourced. Employees unknowingly train their replacements.
