Pros

The culture, for sure, is unique. We take our core values seriously. We genuinely try to do the right thing, generate customer and employee success, and operate with speed. We speak directly and do our best to strip away politics. With the growth Veeva has enjoyed, it has offered great opportunities for many of its employees. This is honestly the best job I've ever had.

Cons

The culture sometimes takes some time to adjust to. It's a rare thing to get unfiltered discussion at any level but Veeva strives to achieve that. Feedback is not sugar-coated but the motivation is almost always to do the right thing. It drives back to the core values. If you're looking to work at a large company where navigating internal politics is more the focus than working hard and doing a great job, this may not be the right place for you.

Pros

Large presence in the industry and good-hearted, intelligent, and well-meaning people work there. Stable company, not going to be purchased by private equity and endure large layoffs

Cons

part of their motto is "do the right thing" but that's not applied when it comes to salaries or work-life balance. working weekends and well past normal hours seems to be a regular thing that most people are doing. a manager's solution to my issue of having more work than was feasible to complete was just to work longer days. "Veeva Speed" is a sugarcoated phrase everyone uses to indicate being overworked and initial training is like drinking from a fire hose; this company makes enough money to hire the correct amount of people to do the work and pay them fairly.
