Pros

Senior management has a limited lifetime, the world will be a better place some day.

Cons

It's so bad, I almost have to create a top 10 list in reverse. Vectrus immediately came in and gave everyone a 10% pay cut when they won the IT award for the Army Corps of Engineers. Entire teams disappeared overnight. Senior Management with the Army Corps of Engineers has proven over time, that they are completely dysfunctional, immoral and incompetent. The contract will not be renewed (FACT), Vectrus cannot even bid on the new contract. So now, they are trying to scrape every $$$ they can before they are kicked out. Some employees have to buy their own office trash cans and paper clips. They are in a panic, wildly throwing punches and kicks, being hyper aggressive on employees while their own missteps have caused most of the problems. They want employees to put in a LOT of overtime, substituting sheer raw labor to cover their mistakes. They don't push back on unreasonable requests, only to be stymied on how to fulfill unrealistic promises. In our team, we were promised overtime. We worked overtime, then there was a creative "Texas Two Step" to not pay... some bla bla bla about dates the forms were filled out, unapproved, etc, etc. It was OBVIOUS they were playing us. Vectrus has been understaffed for the longest time and won't hire contractors or additional labor when needed. Vectrus is a dying company...

Pros

Good pay, afforded the opportunity to help end users, generally ok with asking for time off to take of personal matters. Generally.

Cons

The training was thorough, but very rushed. There are 'systems and resources' in place, however there are too many times that the daily directive conflicts and the hammer comes down on analysts for 'doing what they're told' because that isn't the right answer. Up until very recently there was one analyst constantly getting 'kudos' for all these great things he had done. Yet he rushes customers and abuses the ticketing system. He is not thorough at all yet he is displayed as a star example. Still has a job though. I've seen good people let go without notice to counter that. The contract is up in the air and the directives from management constantly conflict with what has been taught or has been policy. They haven't cared about the details until the contract came up and other proposals are being looked over.
