Ignored by corporate owner - Sales Manager Vantage Controls Employee Review

Great work environment, I felt like everyone worked hard, but that I had control of my schedule and could have flexibility if needed.

Sometimes the work becomes a little tedious, but the way I see it is that there is a reason that they have an intern doing the work, it needs to be done and I get paid less than the others so their time is more valuable than mine.

I worked at Vantage before it was sold to a worldwide corporate owner. Originally there was a productive, supportive environment in which to work. Everyone seemed eager to do a great job and help the company grow. Everyone seemed to take pride in doing a good job. I had a terrific manager and a great team-oriented department to work with. I was given latitude to grow the company according to my expertise professional experience. Before the sell-out, the company environment was great.

After the private owner sold the company to a worldwide corporation, the new (outside) owners moved in and down-sized the company, removed a majority of the local managers and eliminated 20% of the workforce. This really "killed" the morale. Once my manager was removed and I realized the working conditions with the new manager, I left the company because it was not a good environment anymore. The good days were gone.
