Pros

Free coffee. Honestly, without bias, this is the worst job I have ever had.

Cons

0% raises, hours worked cut below 40, bonus decreases, Orwellian employee monitoring, nepotism, no flexibility in shift preference, promised tuition reimbursement that really doesn't exist because you work 3rd shift and can't attend school, starting salary of 33k WITH a college degree and possession of FINRA licences, the promise of a "financial career" when really you're answering phones in a call center where business needs are cited as reasons why you are unable to change positions, even laterally. Overall, the moon is promised and once employed it is clear of the company's intention to keep workers as cheaply as possible. Turnover rates are atrocious, but they hire en masse, throwing spaghetti against the wall.

Pros

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Cons

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.
