Pros

You get a good package with good benefits, health insurance, and personal development opportunities. The office is fairly good, and your colleagues are usually very friendly. You can have the opportunity to go in work trips to France or Germany for a few days.

Cons

Most colleagues are workaholics. Your manager or your team leader can sometimes ask you to work overtime, to sleep overnight at work, or even to come to work in holidays. There's no work-life balance, no innovation, just boring tasks mostly are testing tasks and technical document writing. Even if you are in a development team, you can work for weeks or months manually executing test cases yourself that were written by others. Technical knowledge is not very much needed. The dominating culture on the company is that of a factory. Any important piece of software with any kind of innovation is brought from a software vendor rather than being developed by software engineers at Valeo.

Pros

Great place to learn and gain hands-on automotive experience. People are generally friendly and easy to get along with, and you’ll be exposed to a lot of technologies and real-world problem solving very quickly.

Cons

Upper management is disorganized and heavily political. Decision making is often chaotic, priorities constantly change, and there is very little work-life balance. Long hours and high stress can burn people out quickly.
