What you are describing does not sound like our work environment, however, if you felt this way we are truly sorry about your experience and that this opportunity was just a means to an end.
Our employees come to work because they want to. You are correct that employee disengagement is a huge problem in the USA with a rate of over 60%. It's impossible to make everyone happy.
We do believe based on the energy in our work environment, that we have a very content and engaged team. In fact, our team has shown tremendous support through challenging times, not because they had to, but because they chose to.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as making money easy. When you discover how to do that, please enlighten us. We are always willing to learn and open to working with a consultant who has more knowledge and experience than us.
We are also sorry that you were not aware that a start-up environment is very different from working at a long established corporation. It requires flexibility and adaptability to work at a young company. Many people chose to work in a start-up environment because they enjoy the ever-changing challenges, the opportunity to help build something and create a culture.
We truly hope you can find the happiness, satisfaction, and success in your new position and that you can look forward and focus on your future! Life's too short to get stuck in the past.
