Pros
Patients,families, RNCM, and HHA were the only reason I stayed! THAT IS WHERE YOUR ONLY SUPPORT COMES FROM!!! Loved helping people during vulnerable time...it was satisfying.
Cons
You get ahead if your GM likes you, doesn't matter how bad you are, and it doesn't matter if you never did your work! Managers make the environment unbearable due to hostility toward staff, and their own mental issues that they openly speak about. GM and corporate does nothing to help situation knowing that an entire office is caustic. They do not fire people so the managers who remain with company are there "because no one else will hire me and I don't want to go back to floor nursing". I have witnessed managers not order pain med for patient because she dislikes patient and laugh about it. GM aware, but does nothing. Staff retention is extremely poor, as are the benefits. Multiple lawsuits against company including DOJ...Google it...and watch your licence...document everything in patient notes including management discussions! CYA!
