Pros
Can be lucrative with lots of chances to develop skills. Those who "get" with the culture can advance to principal status. Regular lunches are cool as are spot bonuses. Year-end bumps can be good. It's a sneaker bonus those with the choice bites reserved for the upper level.
Cons
Every office is different with some better than others. Long Island has a "frat" type culture of work hard, party hard. Staff often pull all-nighters to crank out a project. Those with children, or unwilling to work crazy hours, suffer professionally. They miss out on the Client Focus teams. Don't believe the "best place to work" hype. Those can be skewed by good response from committed staff. It all depends who you work for and with. Diversity in type and opinion is squashed and pushed out as not being a "VHBer"
