Pros

Company car- save money by not having to use yours. Free training.

Cons

The turn over is high here, pretty much everyone who quits has such a bad taste in their mouth that they do not continue in the industry. Employees are not scheduled to give them an opportunity to take lunch. Employees are fired when performing adequately. If you interview ask why they can’t train and keep project schedulers. They have had 4 in the past 4 months. The company doesn’t have enough csst’s because on top of being overworked they have told all of their employees that they are subpar and will not be getting raises or bonuses. They instead say work harder or loose your job. There are several other advertising companies who pay more, have a better work atmosphere and will also pay for your training. I advise passing on a company that attempts to steal employees from other companies directly after they have passed the exam in Los Angeles. The company also insists you answer your company provided phone whenever called “even if it is at 2am in the morning.” And you are required to answer text messages on slack even while driving.

Pros

I've had a great experience working at VERT Environmental. The company has built a strong culture centered around teamwork, professionalism, and delivering high-quality service to clients. Leadership is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. One of the things I appreciate most is the opportunity for growth and development. Employees are encouraged to learn new skills, take on additional responsibilities, and advance within the organization. The work is meaningful, and it's rewarding to be part of a team that helps clients navigate challenging environmental situations. The company also values collaboration and communication, creating an environment where people work together to solve problems and achieve results. Like any growing organization, there are always opportunities to improve processes, but management is receptive to feedback and continuously works to make the company better. Supportive team, growth opportunities, meaningful work, strong leadership, positive culture.

Cons

Fast-paced environment can be challenging at times, but it also creates opportunities to learn and develop professionally.

Pros

Sales job pays well and is rewarding if you stick with it long enough to build a book of business. Good benefits for health/retirement plans. The company provides all modern equipment so I don't need to use my personal cars, credit cards, phone, laptop, etc. Good support from other departments to follow through on client requests. This industry will never disappear because property damage/emergencies/renovations will always happen and California only seems to become more strict with its regulations which is good for us as a business/sales person. Company provides in-depth training and continues to offer training even for seasoned team members. There's always someone I can reach out to for help or advice. Everyone is very friendly and easy to get along with. It's very inclusive to the whole sales team for decision making that impacts the sales department.

Cons

It can take a long time to build a book of business. It's a lot of time in the field and a lot of driving. If you can't hold yourself accountable and you're not motivated, then this job is not for you. You must always have your phone on you and be aware if someone is calling/texting/emailing for a project request and it normally must be answered quickly. This sales position is only for people willing to put in the work and time. It's not a position that is rewarding immediately. If you're not mildly tech savvy, it may be difficult because there are multiple programs we use but mainly Microsoft programs.
