Pros

The people that work onsite for V2X are nothing like those in senior leadership, and higher, positions.

Cons

Unable to rejoin my position after a medical leave of absence. I was spoon-fed needed documentation by HR that "required" a lot of PHI such as, prognosis, diagnosis, medication with quantities, and personally written and signed doctor's review of my health on top of requiring myself and doctors to fill out company health/return to work forms. After flying to specialists in the USA from Kuwait and back, all self-paid, I was contacted sparcely for weeks after asking numerous times to be reviewed by the company contracted doctors in Kuwait to return to my position. This was never communicated, nor carried out. I challenge the denial decision and had a court official hearing where a court officer ruled I had made a great effort to return to work and V2X had failed to fulfill their duties after receiving the requested documentation. After filing for unemployment, V2X denied it and reported I had resigned on my own, not accepting the near month worth of almost no communication and almost 3 weeks waiting to return to work after flying back to Kuwait. Again, all flights were self-paid. The jobs are listed as 40+ hours per week. What is not communicated in the postings is your duty day requires you to work 12+ hrs/day, 6+ days/wk. Personal vehicles are not allowed onto the military base without expressed consent of the base commander(s). In the nearly 2 years I was there, not a single person was granted a vehicle pass, let alone given enough time to buy a vehicle to submit for a base pass. Group transportation for sections take approx 1hr each way, extending your show up/work day to a minimum of 14hrs. I was not paid according to US standards, even though I am a US citizen and veteran, working for a US company, on a US Army base. The pay structure is a low hour wage, lower than some fast-food companies. Overtime is calculated per the host country standards, ie 1.25x after 48 regular hours worked. Constant payroll fraud is rampant and I was told how to report my time to be the same as everyone else. I was once counselled for my timecard reporting being incorrect by a senior manager (my boss' boss) but was quickly left alone when I started accurately reporting my time, to the minute; showing exactly how much time was required to fulfill both company and DoA standards, not including entering and exiting the base. I was reminded numerous times through my time that I could resign at any time, and how many other people would "love" to have my job. These interactions were by team supervisions and managers that I volunteered to switch from day to night, and vice-versa, as well as, move to other teams that were struggling to keep personnel for more than a few months. The most common and shared idea for those that left within 1-2 months of being in Kuwait were for other companies paying according to US hourly pay structures or higher salaries with better benefits, and better working hours for those with families.
