Toxic environment and low pay overshadow convenience - Survey Technician Urban Engineering Employee Review

Great company to work for when starting out in the industry. The skills I learned here have helped with finishing my classes and completing the FE. The intern pay is hourly, and a bit lower than industry standard. In return, you get pretty comprehensive healthcare.

I have no complaints about Urban Engineering.

This company has been used to learn and move on to a better place for multiple individuals. They do not seem to care if you leave as long as you do some drafting for a few months. Take advantage of paid training and courses before you leave.

Management is poor. The politics game is stressful. One female manager (MB) is particularly abusive and disrespectful, but management do not care. Another manager went physical with an older cad tech and management did nothing about it. There must be a better place to work for than this company. Turn over is high in all levels. Noticed experienced people leaving lately, and they always seem to have new faces. Every person that left said they would never come back.
