Pros
As someone with considerable work experience, I had high expectations upon joining the company. Unfortunately, I didn't have a very positive experience while working there. As everyone's experience is a personal one, I'll omit sharing specific details. However, here is some brief information that may help you determine if Unity is the right fit for you: I found Unity's culture to be quite organic/chaotic in nature. After additional reflection, I consider it to be an "adhocracy" culture (little focus on process, greater focus on whiteboarding). Thus, if you come from a "corporate" environment, many of the best practices shared in those business settings are almost shunned at Unity. During my time there, I tried to introduce ways of thinking that I thought could make things a lot easier for me/us going forward, but my efforts were met with considerable resistance. I grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of consistency and communication. In contrast, if you are a "hacker" type, are new to the work environment (i.e., you have few opportunities to compare against), or have extensive technical experience, then Unity might be a match. On the plus side, I found Unity to be quite groundbreaking in terms of the capabilities being developed.
