Pros

Danny Meyer is famous for hospitality work environment for a reason. If you've worked in a "typical" service industry job before, please forget what you learned about management. -Fair wages, fair hours, fair policies -Accountability, training, dedication to employees' personal and professional growth in the service industry -Impeccable understanding of their clientele's needs and tendencies -Delicious employee meals and perks -Benefits package, pre-Obamacare, was outstanding -Supportive environment featuring self-reinforcing commitment to good service They walk the walk, is my point.

Cons

It's the service industry. You'll still be stressed, you'll still be tired, you'll still be on your feet for long hours, and on top of it all it's high-level NYC service work--you are expected to want to give the best service on the planet, and act like it.

Pros

Great culture and community, Very supportive and willing to have meaningful conversations.

Cons

It's really hard to grow. Lots of outside employment and a lack of internal promotions. Also lack of communication between departments.
