Pros

My team members - I can't wait to have them on my team again. There are some very smart consultants at this company and I'm so happy I had the chance to work and learn from them.

Cons

- Unify's three core values (or principles) are consultant first, run lean and meritocracy. All three are fallacies. Consultant first - unless it's inconvenient or costs money. Run lean is synonymous with cheap when it comes to the important things (benefits, time off, support staff), and frankly just not true when it comes to ridiculously extravagant events. Meritocracy - come on, it's 2020, I think at this point we all know this is a fallacy in society, and it is at Unify as well. - The worst executive team I have ever worked with. They couldn't come up with a strategic plan for the company if it slapped them in the face. - The CEO is unclear of why there is a "bro culture" mentality - yet, you will hear him hooping and hollering in his office with a bunch of other white, middle-aged men and very rarely interact with any of his employees unless it can benefit him in some way. In addition, I have never seen an executive treat their support staff worse than him. I don't say that lightly, it made me sick at some points. - No strategy on what companies they do work with and company ethics are not evaluated. If you have $ Unify will come. Overall, not a lot of good things coming from Unify. I have never left a company with such negative feelings and hoping that it doesn't work out for them, and that feels truly awful. If you are interviewing at Unify I encourage you to ask as many questions as you can, they are very good at selling you on something it is not. I was told this was a grade A leadership team, I could not have had a more opposite experience and it makes me sad if this is the best leadership you have experienced.

Pros

I was initially hesitant to pursue this job since it was contractual, but given the current state of the market, even employment with promised stability can't be guaranteed. The fact that Unify has a portfolio of clients diversifies your risk. Meaning, if your expertise is not needed at a certain company, you can be moved to another, such as from Meta to Google. Unify has a large portfolio of clients. You get to partake in projects at some of the top enterprise companies, learning different technologies and stacks while meeting some of the smartest people in the industry. My first project was at Pfizer. It started as a normal website, then became a complex end-to-end full-stack app with multiple microservices and complex architecture. My work with the client is very sentimental and rewarding since we built financial dashboards that help budget the workforce needed to make medicine for people in need.

Cons

The only temporary setback is that when you are first hired, you may land on the virtual bench until a project is found for you. That said, the team, especially Ashley from recruiting, is highly responsive and caring. They constantly seek opportunities to make sure you land a project as soon as possible.

Pros

- Interesting strategy of wanting to be an AI Management Consulting Company - Training of employees on AI basics with more to come - Interesting client base (mostly Fortune 500's) - Friendly, smart and talented co-workers - Clients speak highly of their delivery partners - Pay is fair - Insurance benefits are OK

Cons

- If you are on the bench for a week or two, you're gone (unless you are buddies with one of the execs) - Business development team is not strong and doesn't seem to know how to sell the company - They seem to think they have a unique value proposition AI + Management Consulting...it's not - 401k match is a crap shoot and bonuses are nowhere to be found.
