Pros
The upside of working at Ultius as a content writer is that an internal content writer for Ultius has the flexibility to work from anywhere in the country, and they are generally pretty flexible about letting the writer set their own schedules.
Cons
The downside of the position is that content writers are the "last hope" for many jobs that cannot find writers, which means that an internal content writer may need to write many papers that are well outside of their expertise, and usually under considerable time pressure. The work has to be nearly perfect, otherwise, clients can reject it, and if a writer - as a staff writer - has too many jobs that are rejected, they are rated poorly and can even risk losing their job. Pay is not consistent, and workers are paid based on the number of jobs they do during a shift, and if there is little work, they may get "sent home" and not earn as much (or very little) for that shift.
