Pros

Good portfolio of clients. If you're in client location, you may get oppty to work in some good areas. Some really nice people.. Good place if you're a lateral hire in the US... you can spend a couple of years, make some good money and then get out

Cons

Horrible politics. No consistent organization. Keeps on reorganizing with no consistent messaging. Some people get a free pass where as others are penalized for no fault of theirs. There's a huge focus on margins (apparently), so if you don't keep billing you're let go. Best bet is for you to reposition yourself as a support function. In orange county corporate office more and more people are being added to HR, Finance and support functions at a direct hit to margins. People in support functions are transferred from India, even though they can very well function from India itself at much lower cost like Infosys and Cognizant do. These function-level people are never let go or transferred back to India. Instead people with potential to bring revenue are let go quickly if you're not billable. Such a dichotomy! Terrible pay disparity - new people are hired at much higher salaries than the people who have been in the company for a few years. Also senior-level people and industry specialists are hired at exorbitant salaries and then left to fend for themselves with no clear direction amidst the politics No consistent long-term vision - extremely short-term strategy, if at all there is a strategy

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
