Pros
There's an office dog you can pet.
This poor dog is 9 year old black lab and living in the cold office 24/7. He is starting to have health and mobility issues. The owners care little about him, the employees have to beg to take him to the vet. The only joy in his life is from 9-6pm when he has (limited) human interaction. Although, we would try and walk him as much as we could.
Cons
At the time I was hired, USA Link System was portrayed as a fun, carefree, modern tech-company; which, it is anything but. The boss is controlling, manipulative, disrespectful, and two-faced. The office was under constant verbal abuse from the owner. The employees are being monitored and micro-managed. Much of her and her company's work is stolen or plagiarized (purposely).
The owner claims to have an open-door policy; however, voicing your concerns, or giving your opinion, leads to belittling your intelligence and contemplating your worth. This company has no benefits, it pays non-living wages, and if you accept a salary position, be ready to have no home life.
The level of disrespect for her employees is unprecedented.
Because of this, the company retention rate is truly poor. The company and the owner (in particular) are constantly trying to replace employees instead of improving their practices.
Owner also does not promote from within the company. Raises? Good luck.
