Pros
Enjoyed working with my on-site staff and community residents. Leasing commissions were decent. Otherwise, there is not much else positive about this company.
Cons
Absolutely no training for new hires or professional development and mentoring of current employees. No learning and growth opportunities past what you already know at the site level. Upper management in the Northeast region were liars, two-faced, unprofessional, unorganized and made great long-standing employees run for the hills.
They lie to the owners, mismanage their assets, cannot take criticism (yet are quick to criticize the property employees), do not take ownership of their shortcomings (such as convincing owners of downtown New Haven property to spend thousands of dollars renovating apartments with mediocre results and insane pricing), do not lead/guide/manage effectively.
There is no work/life balance. If your child is sick, be expected to still find someone to watch your child so you can come to work. If you expect to leave work on time, be expected to leave 30-60 minutes late everyday.
Be expected to do tons of meaningless reports every week/month and spend most of your working day just trying to keep up with the unmanageable amount of work that is required.
I could go on, but it is meaningless as the NE upper management cannot take feedback from their employees and instead gets defensive and angry on anything that is not their "idea".
